Reflections of Eachother

Reflections
October, 1994

we looked into a hollow mirror
we saw an image
most people see themselves
some people see through it
we saw within it
at the same time
in the same way
one seeing one
reflecting
one
over and over...

My favorite definition of creativity is: a creative person can look at something every one looks at and see something that no one sees. Thanks to my mother, I have this gift. It is both fun and frightening. There is so much essence that is in and around every living thing. If you can focus, be open and see within a moment, a person, a place or an experience, you can "see" more than you can imagine.

Do mountains think? Can rocks, trees and animals talk? Is every experience a gift; an opportunity to learn and to grow? Are we like the sky, a lake, an ocean, a spring and so much more?

Yes! The answer is yes! As Depak Chopra challenges us:

"Relinquish your attachment to the known, step into the unknown, and you will step into the field of all possibilities. In your willingness to step into the unknown, you will have the wisdom of uncertainty factored in. This means that in every moment of your life, you will have excitement, adventure and mystery. You will experience the fun of life…the magic, the celebration, the exhilaration, and the exultation of your own spirit…

Uncertainty is the fertile ground of pure creativity and freedom. Uncertainty means stepping into the unknown. The unknown is the field of all possibilities, ever fresh, ever new, always open to the creation of new manifestations. Every day you can look for the excitement of what may occur in the field of all possibilities."

This is why nature is such a wonderful teacher. It is the unknown; the adventure; the challenge; the uncertainty and the opportunity to discover everything that is important in terms of surviving and thriving in our world today.

It is why I feel in harmony with all things. It is why I respect all things. It is why I understand my purpose in life. It is why I so enjoy the journey of life.

Stay open; trust the process; be willing to act; be a player not a spectator; respect all things; be gentle to yourself and others; believe in your self; take care of business in a loving way; find your path and stay on it until another path is shown to you.

Learn from all things and people; learn from all experiences and moments and then...keep learning until you have evolved and become.
